The Status of Policing in India Report (SPIR) 2026 studies cybercrime in India and assesses the preparedness of the police and other relevant agencies through all-India ground-based surveys and in-depth interviews. The report foregrounds the experiences of people affected by cybercrime, drawing on the perspectives of victims and experts to identify what is working well and where gaps remain in the existing system.
